CANAL+ has unveiled a new CANAL+ Premieres service featuring a VOD library of movies straight from the cinema and beyond. CANAL+ Premieres, operating under the TVOD model (payment for renting a specific production), complements the recently launched service CANAL+ television over the internet. You can use the same credentials to log in or create a new account. The service is available to everyone – you don’t have to be a CANAL+ Platform subscriber.
Since 4 June, all seekers of film entertainment can conveniently and legally rent Polish and foreign hits, documentaries, premieres straight from the cinema and titles which have not yet had their big screen debut in Poland.
The service’s library included more than 120 selected films from major studios and film distributors at the launch. Among them, such productions as “Sonic. Fast as Lightning,” “Bad Boys for Life.” Or “Little Women.” The offer is expected to be expanded with nearly 500 new hits in the coming weeks.
The new service complements the CANAL+ TV over the Internet service with on-demand movie rental functionality. When logging in to Premier CANAL+, you can use the same credentials as when logging in to the CANAL+ TV service over the Internet, or create a new account by visiting premiery.canalplus.pl.
CANAL+ Premiere Libraries are open to all film fans, and films can be rented even if you do not have a paid subscription to CANAL+ via the Internet or a TV service contract.
Starting from today the users of CANAL+ via the Internet will also see on the start-up screen a new Premieres tab, where they will be able to conveniently browse the offer of paid content on demand from the CANAL+ Premieres catalogue.
CANAL+ Premieres brings together in one place productions from major studios and film distributors, including Universal Studios, Paramount Pictures, The Walt Disney Company, 20th Century Studios, Dream Works, Sony Pictures, Cineman, Kino Świat, Best Film, Next Film, Kino Polska, TVP orPolsat Television.
Among the more than 120 blockbusters available for rental on the service’s launch day were such productions as: “Sonic. Fast as lightning,” “Bad Boys For life,” “Doctor Dolittle,” “Dogs 3. In the Name of Principle,” “Star Wars: Skywalker. Rebirth,” “1917,” “Gentlemen,” “Iceberg II,” “Jojo Rabbit.” or “Worship. Film”. Soon the service will also include such films as: “Bloodlust” (24.06), “Unruly Miss” (19.06), “Like a Boss” (10.06), “Survive Until Dawn.” The content libraries will be updated with hundreds of new productions in the coming weeks.
CANAL+ has been providing its subscribers with top-quality movie entertainment for many years, both in its TV channel offerings and as part of its constantly updated on-demand libraries. Today we are opening up access to a rich catalog of content in one convenient service available to everyone, including those not bound to CANAL+ by contract. Soon we will also offer the ability to play the catalog on almost any device thanks to mobile apps and support for all the most popular smart TV systems. The new service can be used on the day of the premiere in web browsers at premiery.canalplus.pl. You can conveniently pay for your movie rental by card (Visa, MasterCard), BLIK or online pay-by-link transfer.
As CANAL+ reports, in the coming weeks the CANAL+ Premiere application will be made available for Android and iOS mobile devices, Smart TV Samsung (Tizen), LG (webOS), Android TV and Apple TV. Mobile apps will support Google Cast and AirPlay technology.
